Umashanker Joshi once said that if people do not honor their great luminaries at the appropriate time, they would, in course of time, fail to get great worthies. IMAGE, therefore, intends to launch a series of small biographies of great figures which would include saints, social workers, artists, scientists, industrialists, thinkers and litterateurs. From a fund of Rs. 10 Lacs ($ 20,000, £ 15,000), about 25 to 30 books of 50 pages each, can be brought out. The biography-series can be named after the donor’s name or by the name of any other person the donor wishes to associate with the series. The donor will be given about 100 copies and the rest of the books in the series can be gifted to libraries in schools and colleges. In this way, one can pay homage to the great figures who have enriched our land and the world.
Our Appeal :
We are confident and hopeful that our schemes aimed at spreading and propagating book-culture, cultivating reading habit and enriching libraries, will not fall through for want of funds. Is it hoping against the hope? We hope not
